Changes | Daegu Premier Portrait Photographer

We are half way through 2015 and what a year it has been already!!

I have photographed newborns, maternity, cherry blossoms marathons, families, milestones, birthdays, cake smashes, head shots, seniors, city life and I got a chance to show the Daegu community, my Glamour Women sessions, which was a HUGE success.

I have met so many great clients who I am fortunate enough to now call friends. I have my in home studio working in the order I want, finally after much trial and error. I have been pushed creatively and I've opened new doors just in the first 6 months of 2015. I have hired a make up artist /hair (MUAH) to help with my Glamour women sessions, I have added a personal photo app to the packages, so you can carry your session with you on your smart phone on your very own app.

I have also put myself out there and submitted some work in contest and won a few awards and I also threw my name in the hat for an editorial piece, so that I can be published. I have also moved to the #1 spot in Google for Daegu photographer and have had my social media audience grow exponentially. Did you know Mad Kat Photography is not only on Facebook and Instagram, but on 500px, Google+ and Twitter? I am also doing more solo photo walks for myself and starting a photography group with another photographer here to help out those who are wanting to learn the art of photography. I am all for giving back. If it wasn't for the help of my fellow photographers when I was starting out I wouldn't be where I am today. For that I am fortunate.

I know to grow as a business I must continue pushing the boundaries of my photography and adjust my  prices and change product around. In the last 6 months I have listened and heard what everyone was saying, what their needs are in South Korea and because of that my product and pricing have changed some, I have also added a wedding session package and am now dabbling in birth photography, with two already lined up this year. I have also started doing more boudoir as well, which was something I didn't think was going to be requested here.  All in all, I think the change is for the better.

My goal for this community is to show everyone what photography is all about, not just the art of it, but the passion I have and how important the memories that you are making here are. If you follow me on Facebook, you will see how big of an advocate I am of printing your images and not having them delivered to you on a disc!! Technology changes all the time, remember the floppy disc?? Why would you trust your images to a disc that will be obsolete when your children are grown? What will they have to remember their time in Korea? What family images will they show their children?

With that said, I will now require a two things for a session to take place. First, I have to do a sit down pre consult with you, before any money exchanges hands and/or dates get booked, we need to meet in person. This gives you a chance to meet me and see my work in person. Think about it, you wouldn't buy a car without test driving it. Why would you spend money on a photographer without meeting them in person first?

Lastly, my online gallery is now gone. I will no longer be sending you an online gallery for you to view and choose your images from, all sessions are required to partake in a in person ordering session ( IPS) this ensures that you are viewing your images on a calibrated monitor. (meaning that the image you see, will look exactly what your print will look like...color...quality...etc.) and I also get immediate feedback on your final results. I can also, help you build your gallery wall or help you choose what images will look best in what sizes and products. When you hire me to photograph you, you are hiring me to tell your story, I can do that from beginning to end.

So, not too bad right? Some minor tweaking that will allow me to help better serve my Daegu community.

Thank you if you got through all that reading!! I don't write long winded post, much anymore but I have been so excited for what this year has already brought and what the second half of the year is bringing that I wanted to share it all with you! So now I have to ask,

Mad Kat Photography
